Hélio Oiticica (1937-1980) is one of the most radical artists of the 20th century. Hélio Oiticica: Dance in My Experie nce departs from this key work, tracing its genealogy in the artist''s career, identifying rhythmic, choreographic and dancerly elements throughout his trajectory-from his first Metaesquemas, through the Spatial Reliefs, Nuclei and Bólides, culminatin g in the Parangolés. Lavishly illustrated, this is the most comprehensive publication on the artist to date and accompanies a major exhibition organized by the Museu de Arte de São Paulo Assis Chateaubriand (MASP) in partnership with the Museu de Art e Moderna do Rio de Janeiro.
